Sankraman is a Multi Genre Band originated from Delhi, India. Sankraman, formed in 2008 was about few guys sharing very different tastes but mutual love for music. Being in the young and experimental stage while working on getting along nicely, Sankraman was underground for quite some time. Despite the influence of different styles of music on every individual, the band collectively is inspired from Indi-pop, sufi, Rock, blues/jazz & Bollywood Commercial Music.
The name Sankraman was given as the band aims to spread the love for music like a plague to anyone and everyone in all directions without any discrimination. Our love for music is not restricted to any specific genre and so our audience also ranges from all the groups.
We are keen and eager to experiment and play various styles of music in all the craziest collaborations possible.
