‘Shrap’was founded 2011 in Kolkata, India by the vocalist himself Saptak. Before ‘Shrap’ Saptak started his career with the band “Antimsanskar” as a vocalist and song writer. Due to different musical preferences and choices the band “Antimsanskar” couldn’t survive for long.
‘Shrap’ got its actual identity when “Saptak” met his new dedicated band mates with similar music tastes i.e. Post thrash, old school thrash, hardcore etc. The guitarist Rudra from the band Hourglass prisoners, Drummer Dubai from Wren and the band’s ex bassist Subhajit were also in search of same sound at the same time. These similarities brought these four members jamming together. After composing few songs new addition in the line up happened and Subrata joined the Band as General Manager of the band.
