Bee & the Buskers was formed by five amateur musicians from Kolkata, who wanted to make it big in the show business. From the begining they knew that their strong point was their loyalty towards original music. They were initially called "Joltin' Joe and the Jogglars", but soon the forming members grew an apathy for that specific name as it had the suggestion of an archaic time. But just a week before their first gig at The Trincas, on the 10th of July, 2011, Durjoy and Tathagata, the then guitar player of the band, settled on the name, "Bee & the Buskers". By 2012, they had their first reformation in the band, with Avijit, the then bass player, moving out of town and Sovan replacing him as the bass player, soon to be replaced by Bijit, after a couple of months.
