Advanced Beamforming Microphones to Propagate Uniform Voice in Conference Hall and Meetings

05-Jan-2019

Corporate meeting, conference and keynote session add multiple stereos in order to achieve a uniform audible sound for their listeners. But still, they fall short in their effort, to change that and increase the value of the meeting space and conference hall sound.

However, Beamforming microphones to some extent help overcome this challenge, it is emerging as a preferred technology for capturing the conversation in the room for delivery to the far end.  But there is one limitation for Traditional beamforming microphones; they are limited in their coverage. The speakers must be within the predetermined beam area to reap the full benefits.  But with advanced intelligent DSP it’s now possible to have microphone technology with beams that are flexible and adaptable to the movement in the room.

Other advantages include the microphone not needing recalibration in multipurpose rooms or where furniture moves around, depending on the meeting requirements. What’s more, if the microphone can generate multiple beams, it can cover multiple people simultaneously.

These microphones track and intelligently mix conversations from around the table, improving the experience for far-end conference participants.
